We're transforming "how-to" by creating the UK's DIY advice marketplace.
2023, James and his partner Chloe, as first-time buyers and complete novice DIY'ers, dove into the deep end by taking on a whole restoration project of a Victorian terrace in Norwich. They were keen to learn many new DIY skills, but some tasks were simply beyond their comfort zone. This lead to a close friend, Tom, and his dad, Wayne, who were more experienced and better equipped for big DIY projects. Tom and Wayne kindly lent their helping hands and gave more than a smidge of advice to Chloe and James who remained completely involved in all projects and made a point of doing so. In return, they would pay Tom and Wayne for their DIY advice and problem solving.
We're building the platform and assembling a team.
Present, James and Co. are building the Tool Tribes team and marketplace, turning an idea into a functioning prototype. Research is also ongoing with DIY users and Trade users to optimise the value of the platform for both groups. James welcomes conversations with anyone who is interested in Tool Tribes.
