We welcome trade professionals with experience to become advisers. It is free to join, and we're open for pre-registration. We'll run a few checks on every adviser, and we'll provide you with one to one support and resources to ensure your advice services really shine.

Think like a DIY'er! You can offer any DIY advice service you wish as long as it's above board and complies with our terms. Tool Tribes is about sharing practical DIY  knowledge and experience through advice and guidance. In our first phase our platform will support simple options like a 30 minute phone call and a house visit to view their project charged per hour.

Yes, it is totally free to join Tool Tribes and become an adviser. There are no costs until you clients start requesting your advice services. We will simply add a small transaction fee as a percentage of the total value which will be built into the agreed price that customers see.

That's totally up to, you can provide advice as much or as little as you want. From our experience some trade professionals would like to have set days, whilst others would prefer to be flexible.

It's a flexible and straight forward platform, with no frills. We do all the heavy lifting by speaking to the clients about their advice needs. After collecting some initial details about you and your experience, you'll only need to confirm what work you'd like to take on before we introduce you to the client. As a trader we're building the platform with you in mind, so you'll be supported the entire time. 

At Tool Tribes you are in complete control of the price. Our recommendation is to divide your typical day rate into an hourly rate and consider whether you need to adjust it from there. Many DIY customers will need a few hours of your time, and when advice is in-person you should factor in your travel expenses.

Once you have spoken with the client and confirmed an advice date, the payment will be released the day after the advice date.
